It’s good news for a Sandwich resident Rick Lawrence.
The Valle Group, one of Cape Cod’s premier builders located in East Falmouth specializing in custom home construction, remodeling and additions, has hired Lawrence as a job superintendent. He is working as part of the Valle Group team to deliver high-quality construction services to its clients.
In his role as a job superintendent, Rick is responsible for overseeing daily construction site operations from planning to completion, coordinating various subcontractors, ordering and delivery of materials, enforcing safety regulations, working with clients on design and selections and ensuring that deadlines are met.
A native Cape Codder and Sandwich native, Rick is an experienced contractor. He started out in the trade while in high school, and worked for many years in the construction industry. Rick also took the initiative to obtain his state construction supervisors license.
Most recently, Rick was a construction manager for a design-build firm on the Lower Cape. Rick was there for 10 years, starting as a carpenter and moving his way up the ladder to a construction manager for the last four years. Prior to that, he worked for several smaller “start to finish” framing companies, such as Ranney & Remington.
Rick looks forward to developing a strong relationship with existing and new clients.
“I’m excited about joining a great team and working with them to serve our local community,” he said. “As a job superintendent, my goal is to get the project done, and to ensure that it gets done on time and on budget.”
In his hometown of Sandwich, Rick resides with his wife Jackie, two daughters Madison and Carly, and their black lab, Lucy. He is active in the community and has volunteered with the Housing Assistance Council to build homes. In his spare time, Rick enjoys golfing, spending time with his children, playing basketball and going to the beach.
