Emily is one our Selections Specialists who works closely with our Redbrook clients to customize their new Valle-Built homes. Emily comes to us through a rather circuitous route that looped her through New York City, Brunswick Maine, Cleveland Ohio, Central Florida, and Boston before she set down at Redbrook in Plymouth.
The reason behind Emily’s travels is her love of theater and her passion for working with underserved kids. With a Master’s degree in Theater Education from Emerson College (and an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College), Emily has dedicated much of her career to helping children access the creativity, literacy skills and social-emotional learning that comes with participation in theater.
Focusing on the non-profit sector, Emily has held a number of theater education and Teaching Artist residencies, including one at the renowned, Tony Award winning, Cleveland Play House, AmeriCorps’ “Friends of the Children” program and the YMCA in Boston. Emily was also on staff at a Florida NPR Radio station prior to returning to school to earn her Master’s.
As both a part-time employee of The Valle Group and a homeowner at Redbrook herself, Emily loves working with clients and soon-to-be neighbors. She and her Fiancé recently welcomed a very special newcomer to the neighborhood with the birth of their first son, Stevie.
